What is Flipboard ?

[dropcap]F[/dropcap]lipboard is a social-network aggregation, magazine-format mobile app localized in more than 20 languages. The software collects content from social media and other websites presents it in magazine format, and allows users to “flip” through their social-networking feeds and feeds from websites that have partnered with the company.

Technology Behind this App :

This App is purely made of nw.js which formerly know as Node.JS. It runs in Background while Linux application Layer which runs in Front which shows it as Native app. Which can run in almost all Debian based system.




How to install ??

Open your Terminal and Run this Command :

wget http://goo.gl/wsPO4E

This will download Flipboard in your Downloads folder. Now go to Downloads folder or Run this Command in your Terminal

cd Downloads

Now run this command to view the list of files available in that folder


This will list all the files available in that folder.

Now copy the file name also with .deb | Example : flipboard_0.4_amd64.deb

Now Run this command to start Installation process. Replace the highlighted file name with your filename(if available any)

sudo dpkg -i flipboard_0.4_amd64.deb

That’s All !! After Installation gets completed you can enjoy using Flipboard in your Linux PC.
