Install ADB Fastboot tools in Ubuntu 16.04/16.10/17.04

ADB & Fastboot is a tool of ANDROID SDK Platform.

ADB = Android Developer Bridge

    What is ADB & Fastboot?

ADB & Fastboot allows you to Install and Uninstall apps from the Android device over the connected over the USB and it lets you to Perform Shell Commands. Fastboot is a Command Line tool used for Flashing Android ROMs, helps to boot into different boot menus such as Recovery, Fastboot.

     Install ADB Fastboot

Installation process requires Root access

Open Terminal and paste this command to update the current repositories.

sudo apt-get update
Install ADB Fastboot

Installing ADB & Fastboot tools

Installing ADB and Fastboot tools

sudo apt-get install android-tools-adb android-tools-fastboot

and Press Enter to Install. That’s it. You have successfully installed ADB.

    Check whether ADB and Fastboot is Installed or not

Open terminal and paste the following command and press enter

adb version
Install ADB Fastboot

Checking ADB version

    Removing ADB and Fastboot tools

To Remove ADB and Fastboot tools completely from your system. Open terminal and Paste the Below command and press enter.

sudo apt-get remove android-tools-adb android-tools-fastboot
